We recently created a Holocaust Memorial for Temple Beth Israel in Skokie, IL.
It was installed just before Yom Hashoa and used in their memorial service. The glass flames contain yahrzeit candles whose brass shapes morph into young trees rising up to the heavens, along with the Mogen David. The buds
on the tops of the “trees” represent the rebirth of our people.
Creating this Memorial was a labor of love and we are so honored by the reception it has received from Temple Beth Israel.
“Ernie and I want you to know how very happy we are with beautiful
and meaningful Memorial you created for our Synagogue. As you know, it is now on the Eastern wall of our sanctuary nestled between the memorial plaques remembering our Congregation’s departed members and a lovely stained glass window of Joseph’s ladder. We were very moved to have it here to commemorate Yom Hashoah,
and to light the candles behind your beautiful glass replicas of flames.
The candles glowed and flickered as we remembered our fellow Jews. You truly captured the feelings we wanted to express.”
